Do leachie geckos like to be held?

Well, hello there, my fellow herp enthusiasts! Today we're going to tackle a question that has been bugging leachie gecko lovers for quite some time now: do these big guys actually like being held? We're here to tell you that the answer is more complex than a yes or no, but we'll get to that in a minute.

First, let's talk about Leachie geckos and their natural behavior. These adorable little creatures are native to New Caledonia, a group of islands in the South Pacific. In the wild, they are arboreal creatures, meaning they spend most of their time in the trees. They are also nocturnal, which means they are most active at night. So, when it comes to being held by humans, it's important to remember that Leachie geckos aren't used to being handled by anyone - not even their kind!

But let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Just because Leachie geckos aren't used to being held doesn't necessarily mean they don't like it. Some geckos can become quite accustomed to being handled by their human caretakers and may even seek attention from their human companions. However, it's important to remember that each gecko is different, and some may never be comfortable with being held, no matter how much they are handled.

So, to answer the question: do Leachie geckos like to be held? The answer is...it depends! Like any other animal, each Leachie gecko has unique personalities and preferences. While some may enjoy the attention and interaction of being held, others may prefer to be left alone to climb and explore independently. So, if you're lucky enough to have a Leachie gecko, take the time to get to know your little friend and respect their boundaries. After all, just like us humans, they are complex creatures with their likes and dislikes!
